4 Ingredient Healthy Honey Mustard Dip for Veggies, Pretzels & More!

Homemade Honey Mustard Flavored White Bean Dip

Here’s a healthy honey mustard dip that’s perfect for serving with veggies, pretzels, or crackers! And it’s made with a secretly nutritious base ingredient… A homemade honey mustard flavored WHITE BEAN dip?! Say whaaat?

Thick, creamy, and flavorful—with a sneaky boost of plant-based protein and fiber. White beans are the perfect base for this healthy honey mustard dip because their flavor is so neutral. The savory, mild, satisfying sharpness of the yellow mustard shines through, with just enough sweetness from the honey.

Add a little garlic powder, and that’s pretty much it! Just 4 main ingredients, blended until smooth, and you’ve got an easy, homemade honey mustard dip or spread—ready to serve or store.

A deliciously simple way to make raw veggies more appealing, especially for kids or picky eaters. Or, add a nutritious flavor boost by spreading onto your favorite sandwiches or cuts of protein! It only takes a few minutes to make, but a healthy dip or spread can go a long way in making healthy eating more fun.

¼ cup mustard
¼ cup honey
½ tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste (optional)

How to Make Homemade Honey Mustard Dip with White Beans

To start, we need our homemade honey mustard dip base ingredient: white beans. I’m using canned cannellini beans for convenience, but great northern beans will work too. Or, you’re welcome to cook your own dry beans instead of using canned.

I drain and rinse my cannellini beans, then add them into a blender (or food processor). Next, add in some yellow mustard, a bit of honey, garlic powder, and some salt and pepper to taste, if you’d like.

Finally, all that’s left to do is blend until smooth and creamy! Using 1 can of beans, you’ll end up with about 2 cups of homemade honey mustard dip. If you don’t plan to serve or use it all right away, simply transfer to a mason jar or airtight container and store in the fridge.

Personally, I’m always looking for ways to fit more veggies into my day, so I love to enjoy this healthy honey mustard dip with carrot sticks and snap peas! I think it’d also be a great dip to serve with pretzels, healthy crackers, or your favorite chips. Or, try spreading it onto chicken breast, a salmon filet, or even veggies for roasting!
