It only makes this regular ol’ lemonade LOOK like a creepy witches’ brew. But, you truly can’t taste the charcoal at all! Making for a tasty-yet-creepy black Halloween punch that’s sure to FREAK OUT your guests—because it’s so darn good.
In fact, this black lemonade is just as deliciously sweet as any classic lemonade. But, make it with liquid stevia, and it’s totally sugar free! A satisfying, non candy sweet treat that can help lighten the sugar overload this Halloween.

What is Activated Charcoal?
Activated charcoal is just a black powder made from coal, wood, bone char, coconut shells, or other organic materials. But, it’s not like charcoal bricks you’d use for barbecuing, which are toxic to humans! Activated charcoal has similar base materials, but is totally safe to consume.
That’s because, to “activate” the charcoal, it’s processed at high temperatures to expand the surface area and make it more porous. Then, that organic material is ground up, put into capsules, and can be taken a supplement. (Or, use it to make activated charcoal lemonade!)
There’s actually a wide range of activated charcoal benefits. Most famously, it’s used in emergency rooms for poison treatment because it can trap toxins in the gut. And, since the body doesn’t absorb activated charcoal, it also carries those toxins out of the body.
But, activated charcoal can also improve kidney function, help to lower cholesterol, aid in digestion, and may even prevent hangovers. Some even swear by brushing their teeth with activated charcoal to whiten them!
Toxin-Flushing Black Lemonade
If you’re not into activated charcoal capsules, there are other ways to reap the benefits. First and foremost, try sprinkling a few capsules into a brew of lemon juice and water to make black lemonade!
It’s a simple, all-natural coloring option, and a black Halloween punch couldn’t be more appropriate for the spookiest of holidays. And, it doesn’t hurt that you’ll sneak some sippable superfood nutrients in on this most indulgent holiday…
With its digestion-aiding and hangover-curing effects, this activated charcoal lemonade makes a great Halloween party mixer!

Black lemonade as Halloween drink!!! Astounding idea! 😉 It does have that scary black look, gonna keep this for next Halloween drink list. Yes, its great aiding hangovers and a complete detox drink for adults. Raw honey can be added if it’s serving for kids because honey also has medicinal facts like activated charcoal.
