Apple Cheddar Quesadilla

Go gourmet with your next cheese quesadilla by tossing some apple slices between your layers of cheddar! Toasted up inside a whole wheat tortilla, it’s like fondue wrapped in a neat, warm blanket. It’s creamy, gooey, savory, and sweet—plus, it’s budget-friendly!

Ingredients

  • 1 apple thinly sliced
  • cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 whole wheat tortilla
  • Procedure

  • Sprinkle cheese over half of tortilla. Layer on apple slices, barely overlapping. Add more cheese. Fold over other half of tortilla.
  • Liberally spray cooking spray on a skillet over medium high. Add quesadilla. Cook 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Allow to cool completely before cutting and storing. This will prevent quesadilla from getting soggy! Enjoy warm or cold!
