Personally, I’m not a huge fan of traditional gravy, but I love how the sweetness of this sauce pairs with the savoriness of a roasted turkey or ham!

How to Make a Pineapple Sauce for Ham or Turkey

  • To start, whisk together cornstarch and pineapple juice to make a “slurry” and set aside.
  • Combine all other pineapple sauce ingredients in a saucepan over low heat and bring them to a boil.
  • Once boiling, add the cornstarch slurry and stir. Once thickened, remove from heat.
  • Serve over ham or turkey and enjoy!

How to Serve Pineapple Sauce

Personally, I designed this sweet pineapple sauce for ham at holiday time, and I like to drizzle it right on top of the roast. It’s a bit thicker than a glaze, so it’s best to drizzle or ladle it onto the roast rather than brush it onto the entire roast. Alternatively, you can also serve it on the side in a gravy boat for people to add as much as they’d like.
