Don’t let the gross-sounding name fool you…these boogers are scarily delicious! This popcorn has the perfect balance of savory and sweet, with a little bit of sugar and a little bit of salt. Matcha powder makes this treat natural green and creepy—no artificial coloring necessary—and matcha is loaded with healthy antioxidants!
2 Tbsp coconut oil
½ cup popcorn kernels
1 Tbsp sugar
After Kernels Pop:
1 tsp coconut oil melted
1 Tbsp matcha green tea powder
½ tsp salt
Heat a deep pot over high heat. Add 2 Tbsp coconut oil and allow to heat for about 30 seconds.
Add popcorn kernels and sugar to the hot oil, then cover with lid.
Vigorously shake covered pot back and forth over the stove, to ensure the heat is evenly distributing and not burning any of the kernels.
Continue moving back and forth until all of the kernels have popped.
Immediately after kernels have popped, add 1 tsp coconut oil, 1 Tbsp matcha powder, and ½ tsp salt to the pot and toss to coat completely.
Serve and enjoy!
