Ingredients

Honey Soy Ginger Salmon & Marinade

  • 2 salmon filets about 1-1½ inches thick is best
  • 1 Tbsp light olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos + salt
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp minced/grated ginger
  • 1 clove minced/grated garlic
  • ½ tsp sesame oil

Topping & Serving Ideas:

  • sesame seeds
  • green onion finely chopped
  • cooked wild rice
  • roasted broccolini

Instructions

  • Blend together all marinade ingredients. Pour marinade into a plastic bag or a flat dish with a lid. Add salmon filet(s) into bag/dish and seal, making sure to coat salmon well with marinade.
  • Place in fridge to marinate for 20-30 minutes, turning once or twice.
  • Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C) or 350°F (180°C)*, depending on your cooking preference.
  • Remove marinated filets from bag and place into preheated air fryer, skin side down.
  • Cook at 390°F (200°C) for 7-8 minutes, or at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  • Check doneness with a fork. Cook another minute if needed. (Feel free to open air fryer a minute early to check doneness.)
  • Rest 2 minutes before serving.
  • Serve topped with sesame seeds and green onion, along with any accompaniments—like wild rice, roasted broccolini, or whatever you like!

Notes

Cooking Temperature:
*Salmon is like steak—most people have a preference as to how rare or well-done it’s cooked! If you prefer your salmon more well-done or you’re in a time-crunch, you can cook at a higher temperature (390°F or 200°C) for less time. If you prefer your salmon more tender and less done, cook at a lower temperature (350°F or 180°C) for a bit more time.
