Cayenne Turmeric Ginger Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water + 4 cups water
  • 1 cup honey
  • cup peeled & sliced ginger
  • cups freshly-squeezed lemon juice strained
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • tsp turmeric

Instructions

To make Turmeric Ginger Lemonade:

  • Add 2 cups of water, honey, and ginger to a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Turn off heat and stir in cayenne and turmeric. Steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain, then refrigerate until cold (2-4 hours, or overnight).
  • To a large pitcher, add lemon juice, 4 cups of water, and the gingerade mixture. Stir until combined.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy!

To make Gingerade Popsicles:

  • Pour into popsicle molds and freeze (6-8 hours, or overnight).
  • Once frozen, remove desired pops from mold and enjoy! (You may need to allow pops to sit outside of the freezer for a minute or two in order to easily remove from mold.) You can leave pops in molds in freezer for a few days.
  • For longer storage, remove from molds and place in individual freezer bags, or in an airtight plastic container with layers of wax paper or plastic wrap in between. Will last 3 to 4 weeks stored this way.
  • Yields ~7 cups of turmeric ginger lemonade, or ~14 gingerade popsicles (depending on size of mold).
