Sweet Pineapple Sauce for Ham or Turkey
A simple, sweet pineapple sauce for ham or turkey, made with crushed pineapple, brown sugar, orange juice, and chopped prunes.
- 1½ Tbsp cornstarch
- ⅓ cup pineapple juice (80mL)
- ⅓ cup orange juice (80mL)
- 20 oz can of crushed pineapple (567g)
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground cloves
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup Sunsweet® Amaz!n™ Prunes, chopped (5oz or 135g)
In a measuring cup or glass, whisk together cornstarch and pineapple juice to make a “slurry.” Set aside.
Combine all other ingredients in a saucepan over low heat and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, add slurry mixture and stir until thickened. Remove from heat.
Serve over roasted ham or turkey!
Store in an airtight jar or container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Yields 3 cups sauce.
