Cut back on unhealthy fat! Instead of frying meat, bake, grill, or broil it. Take the skin off of meat. Take it easy on butter & dressings.

Sometimes juice can be just as sugary as soda! Look for options that are 100% fruit juice and contain no added sugar, only sugar that occurs naturally in the fruit itself. 🍓

These cookie bars are SO deliciously ooey-gooey, thanks to a secret, fuel-filled ingredient: CHICKPEAS!😱 You’d never guess based on how these beauties taste! Try out the recipe and see for yourself!🍪

Ingredients

Cookie Bars
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup cashew butter
1 can of chickpeas drained & rinsed
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Topping
2 Tbsp chocolate chips (use dairy-free for vegan!)
2 Tbsp mini m&m’s (optional)
pinch of salt

Procedure
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).�
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
Combine everything in a food processor or blender (except for chocolate chips and mini m&m’s) and blend to a batter consistency.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into pan, then sprinkle additional chocolate chips, mini m&m’s, and kosher salt on top.
Bake 40 minutes, cover with foil, then bake another 20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Gently remove from pan, and allow to cool on a cooling rack for another 30 minutes.
Cut into squares and enjoy!

Salads shouldn't be fatty! Either swap out creamy sauces for lighter options or get the dressing on the side. Also omit any bacon, croutons, and fried noodles to keep your salad nutrient-dense and healthy like it should be. 🥗

This chicken salad is so healthy and so delicious!😍 Greek yogurt is a great, protein-packed substitute for mayo, and curry powder gives this recipe an extra flavor kick!💪 Great on its own or on a sandwich!
