Try this spin on traditional tuna salad, that uses mashed avocados as its creamy element instead of mayonnaise! It’s light, flavorful, and still has a tasty crunch from the celery and walnuts.
1.5 avocados mashed
10 oz canned tuna
1/2 cup celery finely diced
1/2 cup red onion finely diced
3 Tbsp walnuts chopped
2 Tbsp cilantro chopped
1/2 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 lime juiced
pinch of pepper
1/4 tsp salt, to taste
In a large mixing bowl, mash avocados.
Add seasonings and mix to combine.
Add remaining ingredients and mix to coat. Season to taste, as needed.
Serve with crackers, on a sandwich, or enjoy it on its own!
