Slow Cooker Beef Chili

Make dinnertime simple AND have a healthy, balanced meal with this easy slow cooker recipe! All you need are 3 main ingredients and some seasonings. And, there’s no right or wrong way to make chili—use any protein or seasonings that you prefer! This dish is super versatile, perfect for tacos, a burrito bowl, or on its own!

Ingredients

Chili
  • 15 oz beans of choice (I used pinto)
  • 14.5 oz canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 pound (LB) ground beef
  • Chili Seasonings
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • pepper, to taste
  • salt, to taste
  • Procedure

  • Add all ingredients to slow cooker.
  • Mix to combine Cover with lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours. (Can also cook for 3 hours on high, but low and slow cooking results in much more tender meat!)
  • Serve & enjoy!
  • Yields ~ 40 ounces Beef Chili.
  • Nutrition calculated using 96% lean ground beef, but you can any variety of ground beef you prefer!
  • NOTE: If you don’t have a slow cooker, you can also cook this recipe in a pot over the stove. Just add your ingredients and cook over low for the same amount of time—but, I do NOT recommend leaving the house if you choose to use this method! Be sure to monitor the pot while it cooks!
