Sloppy Sammies

Sloppy joe mix healthified, and lightened up by enjoying it as a thin sandwich instead of a carb-loaded bun!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of black beans 15oz, drained & rinsed
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 pound (LB) chicken breast boneless skinless
  • 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp garlic
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 20 oz ground turkey breast extra lean
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup onions chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • Procedure

  • Combine all ingredients in a large slow cooker. Mix to combine.
  • Cook on low for 4–6 hours.
  • Remove chicken from pot, pull apart using 2 forks and return to pot, stirring to coat in the sauce.
