Unfortunately, a Shirley Temple is PACKED with added sugar! My recipe uses natural 100% juice, seltzer water, and a sweetener of your choice. I recommend a no-calorie sweetener for this recipe to keep sugar to a minimum because these juices do tend to have a lot of naturally occurring sugar already.
2 cups black cherry juice
2 cups pomegranate juice
4 cups seltzer water
1/2-1 cup sweetener
Add 100% black cherry and pomegranate juices to a pot over medium high heat.
When it comes to a boil, add your sweetener and turn down the heat. Allow it to simmer for about 45 minutes, until it’s reduced by about half. Set aside to cool in the fridge.
Once the mixture is completely cool, add ice to a glass and fill about ⅔ full with seltzer water, ⅓ with your reduced juice. Devour!
