Shirley Temple

Unfortunately, a Shirley Temple is PACKED with added sugar! My recipe uses natural 100% juice, seltzer water, and a sweetener of your choice. I recommend a no-calorie sweetener for this recipe to keep sugar to a minimum because these juices do tend to have a lot of naturally occurring sugar already.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups black cherry juice
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 4 cups seltzer water
  • 1/2-1 cup sweetener
  • Procedure

  • Add 100% black cherry and pomegranate juices to a pot over medium high heat.
  • When it comes to a boil, add your sweetener and turn down the heat. Allow it to simmer for about 45 minutes, until it’s reduced by about half. Set aside to cool in the fridge.
  • Once the mixture is completely cool, add ice to a glass and fill about ⅔ full with seltzer water, ⅓ with your reduced juice. Devour!
