Nothing beats a Pumpkin Spice Latte…except maybe a DIY Starbucks Pumpkin PATCH Latte! This tasty beverage from the Starbucks secret menu takes the traditional pumpkin spice latte and steams in some matcha powder. It’s a super caffeinated combo, and the matcha powder adds a serious antioxidant boost! Top with whipped cream or coconut whipped cream for an extra indulgence! (It might sound like a strange combination, but matcha coffee does exist in Japan!)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup espresso
1.5 tsp matcha green tea powder
1 3/4 cups milk of choice (use half at first, half at end)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 Tbsp pumpkin puree
2 Tbsp sweetener of choice
In a saucepan over medium heat, add half of milk (¾ cup) and remaining ingredients, except for espresso/coffee. Whisk to combine.
Bring to a boil then turn down to a simmer for 5 minutes, whisking frequently.
Stir in remaining milk and espresso/coffee (depending on how strong you want it).
Whisk while simmering for another 2 minutes to warm through.
Serve and enjoy!
