Mithai Overnight Oats

In traditional Indian cuisine, sweets or desserts are often called “mithai,” and that’s exactly how this easy meal prep breakfast tastes! These sweet and creamy oats are deliciously indulgent, but also full of wholesome fuel to start your day off right. With the delicious flavors of the cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg for it’s a fun way to shake up your overnight oats routine. Plus, the pistachios and almonds add an irresistible crunch!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp almond slivers
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup diced mango
  • 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2/3 cup milk of choice
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 Tbsp pistachios
  • 2 Tbsp raisins
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Procedure

  • Add dry ingredients to a jar. (For meal prep, make as many jars as you’ll need for the week!)
  • Shake to combine.
  • The night before you plan to eat the oats, add milk, vanilla extract, and honey (or sweetener of choice).
  • Stir to integrate, return jar to the fridge.
  • In the morning, stir oats and top with diced mango, or whichever toppings you prefer!
