Iced coffee is perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day. Making your own iced coffee is easy and more affordable than buying it at Starbucks! Sweeten it on your own so you are in control of the sugar that’s added, and add extra milk if you’d like an iced latte!
1 1/2-2 cups coffee ground (you can use less but I like to make mine double strength to account for the ice that will melt in your glass!)
milk or cream of choice
8 cups water
Combine coffee and water in a container. Allow it to sit overnight in the fridge.
Stir your mixture and strain through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheese cloth (or a nut milk bag). A coffee filter will work, but it will take longer.
Optional method: Tie up the coffee in a filter(s) and let it steep– it won’t be as strong of a flavor but it will be less of a mess!
Serve with a glass of ice, and a splash of milk or cream!
