Banana Split Breakfast Dessert

Kick your old-school yogurt parfait up a notch with this banana split breakfast dessert! Just take your traditional yogurt parfait ingredients and serve them up dessert style! Slice your banana in half like you would for a classic banana split, then scoop on your favorite yogurt like ice cream. Top with your favorite fruits, a healthy granola (I recommend a low-sugar variety or homemade), and a drizzle of honey if you like. And don’t be afraid to switch up this recipe with different ingredients and mix-ins that you enjoy. The banana split bowl is totally optional, but it definitely makes this breakfast dessert more fun!


  • 1 banana
  • cherry on top
  • 1/4 cup granola or trail mix
  • honey drizzle
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter (or nut butter of choice)
  • 1/2 – 1 cup yogurt of choice (or coconut cream/cottage cheese)
  • Procedure

  • Slice banana in half lengthwise and lay in shallow bowl.
  • Add some berries in between the banana halves to create a cavity.
  • Use an ice cream scoop to scoop yogurt into the middle of the banana boat.
  • Distribute fruit and sprinkle with granola, or whichever toppings you like!
  • Melt peanut butter and drizzle on top with honey.
  • Serve topped with a cherry (or a few) if desired!
