Asian Slaw

My local grocery store has a delicious slaw (which inspired this recipe), but it is SO oily! The excess in oil is really unnecessary. Instead, I just use a small amount of oil for flavor, and let the natural flavor of the ingredients do the talking!


  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 12 oz broccoli slaw
  • 2 cups chicken breast cubed
  • 1 Tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup cranberries dried
  • 2 garlic cloves diced/shredded
  • 3/4 tsp ginger ground
  • 1 mango cubed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce low sodium
  • Procedure

  • Whisk together liquid ingredients and seasonings for dressing in a large mixing bowl. Adjust to taste.
  • Add salad ingredients and toss well to coat.
  • Transfer to a container for storage.
  • Lasts 4-5 days in the fridge.
