Anti-Inflammatory Gingerade

Cayenne and ginger both pack a SERIOUS anti-inflammatory punch. And now you can enjoy their immune-boosting benefits in a refreshing popsicle! These pops definitely have a flavorful, spicy kick, but the honey keeps them deliciously sweet.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/3 cup fresh ginger sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (strained)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric
  • 6 cups water
  • Procedure

  • Add 2 cups of water, honey, and ginger to a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Turn off heat and stir in cayenne and turmeric. Steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain, then refrigerate until cold (2-4 hours, or overnight).
  • To a large pitcher, add lemon juice, 4 cups of water, and the gingerade mixture. Stir until combined.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy!
  • Or, pour into popsicle molds and freeze (6-8 hours, or overnight).
  • Yields ~7 cups of gingerade, or ~14 popsicles.
