3-Ingredient Biscuits

The truth about biscuits: GOOD flaky biscuits will need some sort of fat. Coconut oil is a healthy dairy-free, vegan fat option that we can include in our diet without worrying about animal products or hydrogenated oils. Enjoy these babies with a savory or sweet dish!

  • 3/4 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil solid
  • 2 cups self-rising flour **See note below
  • Procedure

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Combine your flour with baking powder and salt if not using self-rising flour.
  • Use a pastry cutter or two forks to combine your solidified oil (solid but soft, not hard), until it reaches an even, crumbly texture.
  • Stir in your milk and mix to form your biscuit dough.
  • Roll the dough out until it’s about 1⁄2” thick.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or small can to cut out your biscuits. Re-roll out your dough until you’ve completed all of your biscuits.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment and sprayed, and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
